Monday 9th October.

It was the annual Food & Drink Devon Awards, the pinnacle of the county’s food and drink producers, hospitality businesses and speciality retailers were celebrated in fantastic style.  The ceremony, was held at the stunning Deer Park Country House Hotel  and hosted, for the third year running, by BBC Radio 2’s utterly brilliant Nigel Barden.

Last year we scooped 10 awards – so we were a little nervous as that was quite a lot to live up to!

Finding our table at the back of the room with the lovely Sally Everton of Food & Drink Devon Awards ( and her Bucket!) and the team from Good Game Topsham we knew we’d be in for a good night!

Our first award went to our delicious Chunk Roast Veg Pasty (Vegetarian Society Approved) Silver …so we knew we weren’t going home empty handed..

Next the Gold awards were announced.

We won 4 ! Chicken, Leek & Bacon Pie – Steak Pasty – Squealer Pork Pie – Cheddar & Onion Pasty

Incredibly proud to take home so many again, our awards haul for the night only beaten by Luscombes Drinks who took home 6! Well done them.

A really big thank you to all the hunks at Chunk – it really is a team game.
