Introducing our sister company, gluten-free bakery Baked to Taste. Simon and Suzi bought the business in 2022 and have been on a mission to perfect gluten free pastry (no easy feat!) and create superior tasting gluten-free products. Since then, Baked to Taste have managed to scoop an impressive collection of awards and continue to wow people with quality gluten free treats that are practically unrecognisable from their gluten full cousins.
Baked to Taste performed remarkably well in various awards shows last year, gaining 9 awards in total. At the 2022 Taste of The West awards, they bagged 5 golds, two of those for the Steak, ale and Mushroom pie and chicken and the Leek and Bacon pie. The Cheese and Onion pasty based on our Cheddar and Onion recipe was highly commended at the British Pie Awards 22 and won golds at the Taste of the West, Great Taste and Food Drink Devon awards last year 🏅
Simon, along with Justin and the team at Baked to Taste have refined recipes that the bakery had been using and have come up with exciting new products. Using classic tried and tested Chunk recipes as a basis for many bakes, Baked to Taste now have an extensive collection of gluten-free goodies, both savoury and sweet. Chicken, Leek and Bacon and Steak & Ale are the bestselling pies and the Steak Pasty and sausage rolls are ever popular like their gluten full counterparts (not entirely surprising!).
