Introducing a New Pie Recipe!

We're excited to announce our new pie recipe - a really delicious fish pie with a lighter texture and flavour that we think you'll love, so it's great for those of you who are looking to ease off on the meat.
What is the Fish Pie?
This lovely pie is made with a jumble of pollock, salmon, smoked haddock (sourced from Kingfisher in Brixham) and prawns in a creamy sauce, spiked with some Dijon Mustard and finished with mature Cheddar Cheese. We know that traditionally a fish pie will have a mash potato on top, but ours is topped with our awesome buttery shortcrust pastry….want to know why ? - It's all about the awards!
We LOVE to enter awards with our pies and pasties, and the biggy of the pie awards is ‘The British Pie Awards’, who stipulate that:-
“All Pies in all Classes of the British Pie Awards must comply with being ‘a filling wholly encased in pastry and baked’. Entries which do not comply e.g. lattice topped, fruit topped, potato topped, samosas or any fried products etc will not be submitted for judging.
So we decided to make sure our fish pie had the right credentials to be put forward to these awards. Now unfortunately, the 2021 British Pie Awards were postponed this year from the usual month of March to September. But that hasn’t stopped us here at Chunk! Although the fish pie isn’t a contender in the awards this year... it tastes great, and we’re super confident it will be very popular!
How to buy them…?

After all, what do you think of when you think of Devon?  It’s got to be the rolling hills and beautiful beaches!  With around 120 beaches in Devon there's plenty of choice, from the quiet tucked away coves like Lannacombe near East Prawle to the wonderful stretches of sand that both Croyde Bay and Woolacombe in North Devon and Bantham, South Devon, offer - ideal for surfing.

Dartmoor on the other hand has plenty of quiet places to escape to as it is the single largest unbroken area of relative tranquility in southern England!  With 368 square miles of moorland and 450 miles of public rights of way (the equivalent of walking from Land’s End to Cumbria), you’re sure to find a quiet spot.
