Pimp your Pie and Mash Night

What goes better with a pie than mashed potato? This British staple is a brilliant addition to a pie plate, whether it’s creamy and smooth or thick and lumpy.
 Pie and Mash
Pimp your mash
As if plain old mash isn’t enough, here are some things you can add to make it a bit extra!
Smoked Sea Salt
Transport your taste buds to a beachside bonfire with a sprinkle of smoked sea salt. It's the perfect touch to add a hint of magic. Simple add a sprinkle to your mash, remember you can always add more but it’s very difficult to remove! We recommend taste testing at all stages!
Garlic
Say goodbye to plain potatoes! Garlic adds a punch of flavour that elevates your mash to new heights. Remember to roast the cloves in the oven whilst your potatoes are boiling. Combine at the mashing stage and heaven awaits!
Range of Herbs
Because why settle for the ordinary when you can have the extraordinary? The addition of herbs like parsley, chives, and rosemary turns your mash into a culinary masterpiece, throw some in whilst you are mashing - c'est délicieux indeed!
Capers and Lemon
Give your mash the VIP treatment with zesty capers and a squeeze of lemon. Your mash deserves nothing but the best, and these ingredients deliver a burst of freshness. We recommend heating butter, milk, lemon juice, zest and capers in a large pan and once warm fold them into your mashed potatoes and enjoy!
Honey and Mustard
Where sweet meets heat in a sassy mash-up that tantalises your taste buds. Honey and mustard create a symphony of flavour that will leave you craving more.
Simply add the mustard to the potatoes when you add your butter and milk and wow - a divine dish!
Cheese (yes, please!)
Because, let's face it, cheese makes everything better. Grate in some cheese during the mashing stage and watch it melt into your mashed masterpiece, adding a tangy, indulgent twist.
Hint of Nutmeg
A secret spice which whispers warmth and cosiness, transforming your mashed potatoes into a comforting delight. Sprinkle in some nutmeg when mashing the goodness!
Veggies
Sneak in some veggie goodness! Whether it's the natural sweetness of carrots or sweet potato, or the earthy notes of celeriac or swede, adding veggies to your mash is a healthy and tasty choice.
 Some couplings we'd recommend

Opt for a Chicken, Leek and Bacon Pie with herby mash
The sweetness of the Veggie Tagine Pie would sit well with a garlic mash

go on - take Chunk!
