It's Raining Awards For Our Pies and Pasties!!

šŸ…Our 2025 Taste Of The West Award Winners...

We’ve only gone and done it again!!

Ā The results are in from the Taste of the West Awards 2025 - and we Chunk Hunks are hauling back a stash of shiny medals big enough to sink a tractor!

From proper pasties to seriously awesome pies, our bakes brought home GOLD after GOLD after GOLD (with a couple of Silvers, too).

And it’s not just us – our gluten-free sister bakeryĀ Baked to Taste only went and smashed it too.

Safe to say, we’re buzzing. Let’s tuck in…

Ā The Chunk Gold Medallists

Smokin’ Beef Brisket Pie – GOLD
This beast has been flying under the radar, but no more. Slow-cooked beef brisket, smoky richness, layers of depth... judges called itĀ big and bold. We call it a pie that eats like a meal.

Chicken, Leek & Bacon Pie – GOLD
An absolute customer fave, and now officially golden. Creamy chicken, sweet leek, salty bacon, all bundled into buttery pastry. Comfort food doesn’t get much better!!

Steak & Ale Pie – GOLD
The pie that puts hairs on your chest (or so we’ve been told). Tender steak in a rich ale gravy. Judges loved its depth and balance. A real pub classic done the Chunk way.

Ultimate Steak Pie – GOLD
When we say Ultimate, we mean it. Steak, onions, and bacon lardons in a lush red wine gravy. It’s indulgence in a pie case, and now it’s got the bling to prove it.

Sheep Pie – GOLD
We don’t dress up our mutton as lamb – this is straight-talking Sheep Pie, the real deal. Tender mutton (or lamb), redcurrant gravy, peas, swede, carrot, mint. Properly hearty, properly gold.

Steak Pasty – GOLD
Our hallowed 16x Great Taste Award-winner just keeps stacking up the accolades. Big chunky steak, potato, swede, onion, pepper – and apparently the judges agree, it’s still the pasty to beat!!

Butter Chicken Curry Pasty – GOLD
Creamy, spiced chicken curry tucked inside pastry. A pasty with a twist that judges couldn’t resist. Street food meets West Country – and it’s golden!!

Chunki Roast Veg Pasty – GOLD
Proof that veggies don’t need to sit quietly in the corner!! Roasted veg, bold seasoning, wrapped up Chunk-style. A meat-free pasty with full-throttle flavour.

🄈 The Chunk Silvers

Squealer Pork Pie – SILVERĀ 
Yep, this awesome porkieĀ managed to bagĀ a medal!!Ā Rich pork, perfectly seasoned, with that classic chunky bite. One for the picnic basket, and one for bragging rights.

Posh Fish Pie – SILVER
A posh little number that doesn’t mess around. Creamy filling, chunky fish, buttery mash topping. Judges clearly enjoyed the seaside swagger on this one!!

Our gluten-free sister bakery didn’t just tag along – they cleaned up too. Here’s their medal haul:

That’s a serious show of GF power right there. Proving (again) that gluten-free doesn’t mean flavour-free!!

Why We’re Buzzing šŸ

We’re not in this game to stack up shiny medals (though we’re not complaining). What really matters is that these awards prove something we’ve always stuck to:

The fact that judges and customers alike keep backing us? That’s the cherry on top. Or should we say… the gravy on the pie.
