    Amazing - A Roast Dinner in a Pie!

    We use a mix of lamb and tasty mutton for added flavour in a superb redcurrant gravy, with the addition of peas, swede, carrot and a little mint, and wrapped in our thin buttery short-crust pastry. We don't dress up our mutton as lamb – It is The Sheep Pie!

    Our Sheep Pie - or 'Lamb Pie' as the team at Bristol City refer to it - has been crowned the best footie pie in the UK by Jonny Smith - 'The Pie Pundit'.

    Our Sheep Pie contains:

    Mutton (25%), WHEAT flour (WHEAT flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), water, onions, vegetable shortening (RSPO palm, rapeseed oil), peas, butter [MILK], carrots, swede, tomato puree, red currant jelly, modified starch, mint sauce, glaze (water, rapeseed oil, sugar, cornflour, pea protein, starch), modified maize starch [WHEAT], beef bouillon, salt, garlic, vegetable bouillon, black pepper, rosemary, thyme.

    A Real Taste Sensation!

    This Lamb recipe pays homage to the origins of the pasty. It almost certainly originated in the southern Mediterranean, and then travelled to our shores. Bursting with these flavours it has been judged as yet another Chunk Great Taste award-winner.

    West Country lamb, chickpeas, apricots, sun-dried tomatoes and then we add a sprinkling of Moroccan spice.

    Our Lamb Pasty contains:

    WHEAT flour (WHEAT flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), lamb (12%), potato [SULPHITES], water, vegetable shortening (RSPO palm, rapeseed oil), lard, courgette, onions, red peppers, dried apricots [SULPHITES] (3%), chick peas, potato starch, sundried tomato, glaze (water, rapeseed oil, sugar, cornflour, pea protein, starch), modified maize starch [WHEAT], salt, vegetable bouillon, oregano, black pepper, garlic powder, caraway seeds, rosemary, turmeric.

    Ideal serving for 1 - but you could share...we'll leave that up to you! 😉

    *Really not suitable for microwaves - the pastry will just go soggy - no one wants soggy bottoms!*

    Ready to eat cold - but best heated in an oven for true pasty pleasure!

    From Chilled: 180°C / Fan 160°C / Gas mark 4 for 20-25 minutes.
    From Frozen: 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas mark 5 for 40-50 minutes.

    Allow it to rest for 3-4 minutes - and enjoy.

    These are a guideline as ovens do tend to differ - Yours may have different settings, so please adjust accordingly.

    Storage: Keep in a fridge below 5°

    Suitable for home freezing, defrost in fridge, heat thoroughly and enjoy within 3 days.

    DO NOT Refreeze once cooked
