Heat to Cheat
You'll find all the cooking instructions on the packaging of your pie and pasty but if you’re so hungry and you can’t wait for the oven to get to temperature – here’s the cheats guide to a hot and crispy pie…or pasty!
Or if you have an air fryer, check out our Air Fryer and Pies blog.😉
If you (we know a lot of you do) freeze your pies and pasties and want to cook these from frozen we suggest:
PIE - Bake from frozen : Remove all packaging. Place foiled pie onto a baking tray, into a pre heated oven at 190°C for 40-50 minutes until piping hot.
PASTY - Bake From Frozen. Remove all packaging. Place on a baking tray into in a pre heated oven 180°C for 40 - 50 minutes until golden brown. Ensure product reaches 80°C core temperature.
SAUSAGE ROLL - Bake from frozen. Place on a baking sheet in a preheated oven 180oC for 40-50 minutes until the temperature reaches 80oC.
These are a general guide - you know your oven better that we do! as cooking times may vary depending on individual ovens.
We do recommend letting them sit for a minute or two when taken out of the oven...be patient!
